Installation Notes (Important!)

1. O-Ring Must Be Replaced
The old O-ring must never be reused, as this can easily lead to coolant leakage. The factory seal ring may have lost its elasticity due to aging. During installation, apply specialized grease to the O-ring to ensure proper sealing.

2. Intake Manifold Removal Is Required
Replacing this component requires removing the intake manifold to access the thermostat housing position. This is a labor-intensive procedure and should be performed by a professional technician.

3. Check the Cylinder Block V-Groove for Coolant Residue
If the vehicle has had a previous leak, coolant may have accumulated in the engine V-groove. Before installing the new part, thoroughly clean this area to avoid contaminating the new sealing surfaces.

4. Material Selection Advice
Some owners have reported that the factory plastic intake socket is prone to aging. Aluminum versions (such as those offered by URO Parts) are a reliable upgrade option.

5. Torque Specifications
Always follow the torque specifications outlined in the Porsche factory service manual when tightening the bolts. Over-tightening may damage the seals, while under-tightening can lead to leaks.
