Installation Tips

Important: The brake system is a critical safety system. Professional installation is strongly recommended. Safely raise the vehicle and support it on jack stands. Remove the front wheels. Remove the brake caliper and bracket. Remove the old brake pads and inspect the brake rotors for wear. Clean the caliper and bracket thoroughly – remove all dust and debris. Compress the caliper piston using a brake piston tool to make room for the new, thicker pads. Install the new brake pads with the included shims and wear indicator clips. Reinstall the caliper and tighten mounting bolts to factory torque specifications. Pump the brake pedal several times before driving to ensure the pads are seated against the rotors. Bed-in the new pads by performing several moderate stops from 30-50 km/h to transfer a layer of friction material to the rotors. Check the brake fluid level and top up if necessary. Critical Step: After installation, test the brakes at low speed to ensure proper stopping and no pulling.
