| Preparation | Engine must be completely cooled before operation. Disconnect battery negative terminal. Drain coolant and engine oil. |
| Surface Preparation | Cylinder block and cylinder head mating surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned — free of oil, dirt, and old gasket residue. |
| Bolt Replacement | Cylinder head bolts are single-use (torque-to-yield design). They must be replaced with new ones after removal — reusing them is not acceptable. |
| Tightening Sequence | Tighten progressively from the center outward in a cross pattern. Follow 3–4 steps to reach the specified torque. |
